September 28 - October 2, 2020

There is a change in schedule for October. There will no longer be an early out on October 21.  Instead, there will be NO school on October 23. We will not assign any work for that day.  

Students will continue to bring their books home each weekend in case we have to transition to virtual learning. Otherwise, they should return on Monday with their books in the bag provided. Please do not remove anything from their bag unless instructed to do so.

If we go virtual, our class will meet on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday on Zoom from 9:00-9:30 am. I will post assignments on Schoology, and all assignments must be submitted via email on Friday. My email is ddingess@nlca.info.

September 22 - School Pictures

Students are bringing home their books in Reading, Spelling, and Bible. In the event Nicholas County moves to orange or red on the West Virginia Department of Education state map (updated on Saturdays at 5:00pm), we will begin remote instruction. Otherwise, they should return on Monday with their books in the bag provided.

Welcome back!  We're looking forward to a great school year!

As a reminder, I still need a few of you to bring in your $10 for snacks.  Also, please place an extra bottle of water in your child's backpack each day, in case they need a refill throughout the day.

Drop off time is 7:45-8:15 a.m.  First grade should be dropped off through the cafeteria doors.  Class will begin at 8:15 a.m.  Please do not begin lining up for evening pick up until 2:45 p.m.  The school bus cannot make the loop if you are lined up to early.

Please check your child's "take home" folder every day.

Thank you for all you do.  If anyone wishes to donate items to the class, they will be very much appreciated.  Items such as water, hand sanitizer, play doh, zip lock bags, and small items for the treasure box are just examples.
