Welcome Back First Grade!  I am excited to begin the new school year!

Open House will be Thursday, August 16, from 5-7:00 p.m.

The first day of school for students is Monday, August 20!

Please see below the school supply list for First Grade:

1 plastic pencil box
1 package yellow No. 2 pencils
2 pink erasers
1 box crayons (not twistables)
1 pair scissors (blunt ends)
3 glue sticks
1 12-inch ruler (with inches and centimeters) 
1 box tissues
1 container disinfecting wipes
1 2-pocket folder (for communications, homework, and completed work)

Wednesday, May 16 is the last day for students!

What a wonderful first year for me as your child’s teacher!

5/7 - 5/11

Achievement Testing is this week (Monday, May 7 - Wednesday, May 9) in the mornings. Please make sure your child is well rested, eats breakfast and arrives on time.  If you are responsible for snacks please bring them early as possible on your day.

In the afternoons, I will plan activities for the children.  If any parent would like to volunteer to plan an activity, please let me know asap.

On Thursday, May 10, we will have a pizza party at lunch time.  Then we will have classroom awards at 1:00 p.m.

On Friday, May 11, at 1:00 p.m. is School awards day for 1st grade through 11th grade.  Parents are welcome to attend but are not required.

It has been a great first year for me as you child's teacher!  I am sure the children will do great on their achievement tests.  I will have more than enough pencils and erasers for them, so you will not need to send extra!

Safari Zoo trip is Thursday, May 3.  Information and directions to the zoo will be sent home next week.

Flashback day is May 4.  Students should dress up this day.

Achievement Testing is May 7-9.

Awards Ceremony is May 11 at 1:00 p.m.

Last Day for students is Wednesday, May 16.

If your child has a seat cushion, they may bring it to school next week.  Make sure their name is on it somewhere (like the tag).

Progress Reports were sent home with your child on Friday, April 13.  Remember you can use RenWeb to check your child's grades at any time.

Parent Teacher Conferences are being scheduled for Monday, April 19, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.  Please contact me for an appointment.
