Thanks so much for all the valentines and candy!  I love our kids so much; they are all special to me.

Snow packets were sent home on Friday, February 16.  They are due back on or before Wednesday, February 28.

Book Fair will be held Feb 19-23!

Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on Monday, February 19.  If you have not signed up for a time slot, there are few left.

Art Class
We began Art class this past week.  The first grade is scheduled each Wednesday from 10:00 - 10:30 a.m.

Parent/Teacher Conferences
We are scheduling Parent/Teacher Conferences on Monday, February 19, between 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.  These will be in 15 minute increments.  To schedule a time, please send me a classdojo message, email, or select a time slot from the schedule by the classroom door.

Valentine Party
We will have our Valentine Party on Wednesday, February 14, at 2:00 p.m.  Students will exchange their valentines right after lunch.

Lollipops
The Senior Class will be selling lollipops for Valentine's Day for $1.00 each on Monday and Tuesday.  The lollipops can be delivered to the person of your choice on Wednesday.  Each lollipop will be delivered with a note that can be personalized.  Forms were sent home with your child and must be returned with your message and money on Monday and Tuesday.

Parent Survey

Theme:  LIT (Light in Them); slang word for good/cool/hip

Homecoming Pep Rally is Friday, January 26 at 8:15 a.m. 

There is a competition between classes to win a lunch at La Carreta.  A winner will be chosen from elementary and secondary grades.  Ways to earn points are as follows:

• Dress for theme days
• Memorize the Theme Verse and Recite it when the spirit stick comes in our room!
• Lip Sync Battle at Pep Rally
• PENNY WAR (Pennies are collected by grade and are worth 1 point.)  If there are silver or dollars in our container, we lose points. If  pennies are rolled we earn an extra 25 points for our class!!
• Poster Contest

School Store:

Please return the packet of information for the School Store by Wednesday, January 22.  This is for family members and friends that do not order online.  Our school store site will send them a catalog from which they may order.  Please do not tear out or cut the address cards, but send the entire packet back.  Thank you very much for your support!

Report cards were sent home Friday.  Please sign and return as soon as possible.

Please begin saving pennies for "Penny Wars" - competition to see which class can bring in the most pennies!

The forms for homecoming shirts are to be returned first thing Tuesday, January 16.  Information about homecoming week is on the form so please keep this in a safe place.
